Spring 2025 AYSO Parent Orientation Recap

On Saturday, February 15, 2025, we held our Parent Orientation to provide important information about the Spring 2025 season. We covered key dates, team assignments, coach communication, game schedules, and volunteer needs. If you were unable to attend, please review the details below and refer to the PowerPoint presentation for more information.

REMINDER: AYSO is a 100% volunteer-run organization.

Please be respectful of everyone’s time, including coaches, referees, staff, and board members. Our goal is to provide every player with a fun, fair, and safe soccer experience. Every volunteer donates their time to make this program possible, so please be kind and patient in all communications.

📅 Key Dates for Spring 2025

• February 25 – Coaches Meeting

• March 3 or 4 – First Day of Practice (schedule set by coach)

• March 8 – First Games Begin

• March 29 – No Games (Board Training)

• April 12 – No Games (Speedway Classic)

• May 3 – Season Ends

⚽ Player Ball Sizes & Game Durations

Ball Sizes by Age Group:

• Size 3 – Ages 5-8 (U6, U8)

• Size 4 – Ages 9-12 (U10, U12)

• Size 5 – Ages 13+ (U14 and up)

Game Durations by Age Group:

• 6U: Two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime

• 8U: Two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime

• 10U: Two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime

• 12U: Two 30-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime

• 14U: Two 35-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime

• 16U & Up: Two 40-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime

All games and practices are held at Ralph M. Lewis Sports Complex (6188 Citrus Ave, Fontana, CA 92335).
